Ernst Frederick Werner Alexanderson (25. januar 1878 – 14. maj 1975) bio je švedski inženjer koji je radio u SAD, poznat kao jedan od najznačajnijih pionira radija i televizije. Nakon školovanja u Stockholmu i Berlinu je 1902. emigrirao u SAD, gdje se zaposlio u kompaniji General Electric u kojoj će ostati najveći dio života. Tamo je dizajnirao Alexandersonov alternator, koji je omogućio visokofrekventne emisije ljudskog glasa. Godine 1928. je bio jedna od prvih osoba koja je u svom domu (GE Plot u Schenectadyju javnu televizijsku emisiju. Bio je aktivan pronalazač do kraja života, a posljednji patent mu je odobren kada je imao 89 godina.
